Oasis and Apillon seek to make Web3 technologies more friendly and easy to use for both developers and users.
Oasis is happy to announce a new partnership with Apillon to develop a non-custodial private key management with an open-source Oasis Account Abstraction Wallet SDK, which will be compatible with all EVM chains and beyond. The collaboration broadens the Oasis ecosystem’s accessibility and equips developers with powerful tools to innovate and onboard with less friction.
A persistent issue in the adoption of Web3 technology is the onboarding process for users unfamiliar with the intricacies of mnemonics and private keys. Apillon’s integration with Oasis seeks to resolve this with a two-pronged approach:
- Oasis Account Abstraction Wallet SDK: This newly developed open-source toolkit facilitates the frontend integration of wallets, enhancing user interaction without compromising security.
- Apillon Wallet Service: This service focuses on backend wallet creation, managing payments, and executing necessary blockchain actions seamlessly in the background.
By automating the security aspects behind the scenes, these innovations ensure that users can sign up and sign in without needing to directly manage sensitive cryptographic keys, streamlining the onboarding process and reducing friction.
The SDK wallet, designed to be used by developers across various ecosystems, significantly reduces the barriers to entry for creating and deploying dApps. By leveraging Oasis-level smart privacy and confidential EVM technology, authentication with the SDK wallet is easily accomplished in Vanilla.JS, React.JS, and Vue.JS to support transactions compatible with Ethers.JS and Viem.
“We are thrilled to partner with Apillon, setting a new standard for blockchain wallets through the OasisAccount Abstraction wallet approach,” said Matej, BD manager at Oasis “The partnership introduces an Oasis-branded SDK that seamlessly integrates with EVM chains as well as other ecosystems such as Polkadot, offering developers a powerful tool that helps broaden privacy, scalability, and user-centric design for users and developers alike.”
Apillon’s platform is engineered to simplify and accelerate the construction of Web3 projects, since the wallet could be embedded into the associated dApp. It offers unified API endpoints, and back-end authentication of usernames, passkeys, and passwords, eliminating user interaction and the need to connect wallets such as MetaMask. This ensures that developers can focus on improving user experiences rather than the underlying complexities of blockchain tech.
“By integrating Oasis’s confidential technology features into our platform, we are launching wallets that make it easier than ever for developers to build secure and user-friendly dApps,” said Matjaz, CEO of Apillon. “This partnership advances the SDK wallet and Apillon wallet services with technology that are abstracted into simple, usable forms for developers.”
Oasis will provide support through the use of Trusted Execution Environments (TEEs), which are the backbone of confidential smart contracts on the Sapphire ParaTime.. Through this partnership, Oasis functionalities will become readily available for use by Web3 services, enabling data privacy even for developers, who wish to utilize their Web2 expertise to launch multi-chain Web3 projects quickly.
This will be facilitated through various user-friendly interfaces such as no-code solutions, APIs, SDKs, and CLIs, making Apillon wallet and the Oasis AA Wallet SDK two comprehensive platforms for both seasoned developers and newcomers.
